Job Description: Assistant Manager Transport Client: UBS Location: Hyderabad (Aquila & Centaurus) Department: Transport Services / Facilities Management Reports To: Transport Manager Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Manager Transport to support and manage comprehensive transport operations for approximately 2,000 employees across UBS Hyderabad's Aquila and Centaurus locations. This role requires a versatile professional who can seamlessly operate between both sites, provide backup leadership to the Transport Manager, and ensure smooth, efficient, and safe transportation services for all UBS employees. Key Responsibilities Transport Operations Management Assist in managing daily transport operations for ~2,000 UBS employees across both locations Coordinate employee transport schedules, routes, and vehicle assignments Monitor real-time transport operations and resolve service disruptions Ensure optimal fleet utilization and route efficiency across Aquila and Centaurus Manage transport booking systems, employee registrations, and route changes Oversee special transport arrangements for events, extended hours, and emergency situations Dual-Location Flexibility Seamlessly switch operations between Aquila and Centaurus as required Maintain consistent service standards and operational procedures across both sites Coordinate inter-location transport services and employee transfers Adapt to varying demand patterns and operational requirements at each location Ensure effective communication and coordination between both site operations Backup Leadership & Management Support Act as primary backup to Transport Manager during absences Take full operational responsibility when required Make critical decisions regarding route changes, vendor issues, and service disruptions Lead team meetings and provide operational guidance to transport coordinators Handle escalations and client communications in Transport Manager's absence Maintain operational continuity during peak periods and emergencies Vendor & Fleet Management Manage relationships with transport service providers and taxi vendors Monitor vendor performance against SLAs and service quality standards Coordinate vehicle maintenance schedules and ensure fleet readiness Oversee vendor compliance with safety, insurance, and regulatory requirements Negotiate service improvements and resolve vendor-related issues Manage backup transport arrangements and emergency fleet mobilization Employee Service & Experience Ensure exceptional transport experience for all UBS employees Handle employee queries, complaints, and special transport requests Manage transport-related communications and announcements Coordinate with HR and Admin teams for new joiners and transport onboarding Implement feedback mechanisms and service improvement initiatives Support disabled employees and special accessibility requirements Safety & Compliance Management Ensure all transport operations comply with local traffic and safety regulations Monitor driver performance, behavior, and adherence to safety protocols Coordinate regular vehicle inspections and safety audits Maintain transport-related documentation, permits, and compliance records Lead emergency response procedures and incident management Implement and monitor COVID-19 and health safety protocols Technology & Analytics Manage transport management systems and mobile applications Generate operational reports, analytics, and performance dashboards Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and service metrics Optimize routes using GPS tracking and route planning software Support digital initiatives and transport technology implementations Required Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Transportation Management, Operations, Business Administration, or related field 5-8 years of transport/logistics management experience 3+ years in supervisory or team leadership roles Experience managing large-scale employee transport operations (1000+ users preferred) Background in corporate transport services or fleet management Core Competencies Transport Operations Expertise Deep understanding of route planning, fleet management, and logistics optimization Experience with transport management systems and GPS tracking technology Knowledge of local traffic patterns, regulations, and transportation infrastructure Understanding of vehicle maintenance, safety standards, and compliance requirements Leadership & Management Skills Strong leadership capabilities with ability to step into managerial role Excellent crisis management and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure Strong decision-making skills and operational judgment Experience in vendor management and
